Shopping

Morocco is a popular destination for shoppers because of the low prices, hand-made products and authentic looks. Visiting the local markets and shops is a must especially the Jemaa el-Fnaa souk in Marrakesh.

Here you can find hand-made baskets, hand-painted ceramics that come in all shapes and forms, colors and sizes, leather pouts and bags, organic soaps, colorful rugs and antique shops at really low prices.

Our tour guide will take you to the street markets and souks of Marrakesh to see and shop around traditional items, spices, clothing, and souvenirs. A “souq” or “souk” is the name given to the markets in Morocco. The tourist souks where you’ll find a variety of treasures are generally inside of the old city walls.

We recommend haggling and negotiating the prices as much as possible to make sure you get the best deal.

Хареса ми Мароко и организаторите бяха от доста голяма помощ. Беше малко студеничко през нощта, така че си вземете връхна дреха. Бих опитал и от другите пътувания които предлагат!

You must send us your passport number, full name, date of birth and nationality and we will send you a document with your information on it.

You will have to take this document along with the other documents listed below to the Moroccan Consulate.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you need a visa, first make sure you can get the visa. First go to the Consulate and check with them. Studentfy is not responsible if you book a flight and make a reservation but the Consulate rejects your application.

Documents the Consulate typically requires:

  • The form given to your by the Consulate
  • Photocopy of your passport with at least 3 months of validity

No. Studentfy operates only as a mediator between the travel agency in Morocco and the travelers. Studentfy has no control or part in the organization, planning or running the trip. Studentfy is in charge of accepting the reservations and confirming the details with the agency in Morocco. Any changes made to the itinerary, reservation or prices are the responsibilities of the travel agency and not Studentfy.

When you arrive, go through passport control and collect your luggage (if you have any). Go outside the airport where you will find lots of tour guides standing. Look for someone holding a paper saying STUDENTFY or VIAJE MARRUECOS. If you cannot find anyone, contact us immediately.

Check the flights on SkyScanner and Google Flight. You can find very affordable Vueling, Ryanair and AirArabia flights flying to the Marrakesh Menara airport (RAK). Book your flight well in advance if you want to pay as little as possible.

We recommend flying there one day before your trip begins so that you can rest and start your trip fresh early in the morning. The price of an extra day is 20€ per person and it includes airport pick up, accommodation and breakfast.

Follow these steps:

  1. Check if there are any (affordable) flights available for the dates you are interested in;
  2. If there is a flight and trip available, purchase your flight ticket;
  3. Send us your flight information;
  4. If you need a visa, we will send you a letter with your flight and trip information and you can get your visa (see the question about the Moroccan visa);
  5. Pay your deposit on the Studentfy mobile app
  6. Pack and fly to Morocco;
  7. Be picked up by our guide and enjoy your trip.

Yes. You can stay as many days as you want. However, the price is for five days only. The price of any extra night in Marrakesh is 20€ per person and it includes the hotel room and breakfast in the morning. Please contact us for more information if you plan on staying fewer or more than five days.

Remember that this is subject to availability and the hotel(s) may refuse to accept the extra nights if there is no room available. In this case, it is the traveler’s responsibility to find accommodation.

Yes, there is a list of available dates you can pick from when purchasing the trip. If a date is available, you will see it on the website. Certain dates may sell out well in advance (e.g. Christmas or Semana Santa) so get your ticket as soon as possible. If you cannot pick a date, that date is no longer available.

No, there isn’t any. You can choose to go alone or with a group however, if you travel alone, you will have to pay 60€ extra for the private rooms. We recommend traveling with at least one more person to avoid this extra charge.

Yes, but we usually don’t recommend it because 1) being in a group is more fun, 2) there will be some additional charges if you are completely alone. For example, if you want to have a private room, then you will have to pay some extra for the private room (about 60€). Otherwise, you may be put in a shared room with the other travelers you might not know and that will cause some logistical issues and the others might not agree to it. It’s highly recommended to be at least 2 people together.

Yes. The guides speak English, Spanish, French and Arabic. They might not speak very fluent English though.

Definitely a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. We recommend taking loose and light-colored clothes. We suggest the following styles of clothing: ali baba trousers, silk long dress, a spring jacket as it tends to get cold at night, jeans and tshirts.

Yes, definitely. Most Moroccan dishes are mostly vegetables and if you are a vegetarian/vegan, you will be totally fine.

Long story short, we have the local connection. Morocco is a culture where everything is negotiated. Our local guides are experienced professionals; they know everyone in town and simply get the best deals.

You will only pay for your lunch, drinks, and any souvenirs if you choose to get any. Please refer to the itinerary and the section explaining what’s included in the price.
